San Francisco 49ers quarterback situation has been a question for a few years. Yesterday, it was finally settled for the upcoming season. Brock Purdy will be the starting quarterback, Sam Darnold will be quarterback No. 2, and Trey Lance will be quarterback No. 3, or he could potentially be traded.

This is a pretty significant decision for the 49ers. The 49ers traded three first round picks and a third round pick to get Trey Lance in the 2021 drafted with the third overall pick. Trey Lance hasn't been what the 49ers had imagined, there's a real chance the 49ers could potentially trade Trey Lance.

49ers head coach, Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media after the news broke about the QB's. He said, "Sam Darnold started separating himself from Trey Lance about 10 days ago. Ten days ago the 49ers played the Raiders in Las Vegas. Lance, of course, got off to a slow start, Darnold started quickly."

The 49ers have a great offense. That help's a quarterback significantly. The 49ers will have to hope that Brock Purdy will do good again, he's looked pretty good in preseason. It's going to be really interesting how the 49ers quarterback situation will go this year now that everything is figured out.
