Yesterday, the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles completed a trade. The Broncos sent TE Albert Okwuegbunam and a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Before the trade was complete, the Broncos had planned on waiving the 25 year-old. Okwuegbunam played 26 career games with the Broncos and compiled 546 yards with 4 touchdowns.
With Okwuegbunam now in Philly, the third year tight end will learn under Dallas Goedert and the rest of the potent Philly offense, in a chance to revive his career. It's unclear how much playing time Okwuegbunam will see, but being in Philly gives him a chance to prove himself.
