Bucs Move on After Brady, Name Veteran Starter

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced yesterday that they have named veteran Baker Mayfield as their starting quarterback to begin the 2023-2024 season.

Just a few seasons ago, the Bucs shocked the world by signing longtime Patriot Tom Brady who retired this past offseason. Now the franchise is moving forward with longtime Brown Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield has bounced around a bit since leaving the Browns but has seemingly found a home in Tampa Bay. Over the last two seasons, Mayfield has not gotten consistently playing time and has thrown 10 touchdowns for Carolina and Los Angeles. With a real shot in the Sunshine State, there's a hope that Mayfield could return to form.
