Saints QB Receives Positive Injury News

Derek Carr has taken over the QB1 role in New Orleans. The 9-year veteran is the next in the Saints carousel of QBs in their search for their next franchise. Now just 3 games into the 2023-2024 season, Carr has suffered an injury.

Although the injury news is good, New Orleans still has to be concerned. In 3 games, Carr has compiled 636 yards with 2 touchdowns.

Per Ian Rapoport, QB Derek Carr seems to have avoided a more serious injury than originally expected, sources say. He could still miss some time, but this does not appear to be a season-ending scenario. Derek Carr is believed to have suffered an AC sprain, source said. After a multitude of tests, there was no additional damage. When he plays will be determined by the swelling and how he gains mobility.

The Saints QB will likely miss time, but overall the news he and his club received is lightning. The Saints backup, Jameis Winston will likely get the reps with the news of Carr.
